Rs 65,000 crore required: Raghuram Rajan
NEW DELHI: Former RBI governor Raghuram Rajan has estimated that Rs 65,000 crore is needed to help the poor who are suffering from a nationwide lockdown. Moreover, prolonged lockdown has had a profound impact on the economy. Raghuram Rajan expressed his views during a video conference held by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. He said that under the present circumstances an urgent need of Rs. Asked by Rahul Gandhi how much money he needed to help the poor in the wake of the Corona pestilence, Rajan replied:
